HHT Canada THH is proud to present the Clinician Scholarship, designed to help Canadian doctors and other health professionals develop expertise in HHT patient care

Hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT) is a rare genetic disorder affecting 1 in 5000 people worldwide that causes chronic bleeding, stroke, heart failure and other life-threatening complications from blood vessel malformations.

HHT patients are best cared for in specialized HHT Centres, by expert multidisciplinary HHT teams, to address all aspects of their disease. In order to improve access to expert HHT care in Canada, HHT Canada is offering this scholarship to support a clinician to visit another HHT centre (“mentor” HHT centre) to develop HHT expertise, or to attend an HHT course or educational conference.

The scholarship can be used to cover expenses for travel/accommodation to the mentor centre or HHT conference/course registration or related expenses. Each scholar will be awarded up to $2500. HHT Canada is planning to award two scholarships in the 2019-2020 period.

Apply Today

Applicants should email a brief summary of their proposed scholarship to HHT Canada ([email protected]) including a proposed budget, for consideration by the HHT Canada Board. Applicants from new and developing HHT Centres will be prioritized.
