There are many meaningful ways you can support Canadian HHT patients. When you choose to join HHT Canada THH, you’re not only spreading awareness of HHT, you’re supporting HHT research and health care Canada-wide to directly impact patient lives. HHT Canada THH is a registered Canadian charity (ID: 838458248 RR 0001) and is entirely run by volunteers.

We are actively recruiting Board Members and Volunteers. Please note that all available positions are volunteer-based, are 1 year terms with eligible re-application and do not come with a wage or salary. Application deadline: Extended, Exact Date TBD. Role Selection: Select as many that apply

President: Serves as the chief officer of the charity. Some of the duties are as follows: helps guide and mediate board actions concerning organizational priorities and governance, evaluates the performance and the effectiveness of the Board Members, represents the organization to the public, annually evaluates the performance of the organization in achieving its mission and objectives, etc.

Vice-President: The second highest officer that works closely with the President. Some of the duties are as follows: acts as the President in his or her absence, reports to and works closely with the President to assist with his or her duties, may be assigned to a special area of responsibility such as membership, media, personnel, annual events, etc.

IT/Communications Office: This specialized Board Member will be responsible for all the communication and information technology (IT) aspects of the charity. Duties are as follows: oversee all social media operations, maintenance of website health and performance, webpage design and implementation, management of email accounts, etc.

General Board Member: A Board Member with a more flexible role. Some of the duties are as follows: understand and demonstrate a commitment to the organization’s mission and programs, prepare for meetings by reading agendas, minutes, reports and other documentation required to actively participate in them, attend meetings regularly, carry out tasks assigned by the President or Vice President, etc.
